Gorgeous place - most convenient location. But do not expect to be helped to your room. Lackluster service notwithstanding, we will definitely stay there again - be sure and request room 208 - great view of the courtyard/pool!

Pros: Great location

Cons: Lackluster service

Upon check in the clerk wouldn't get off the phone. Our room was way off by itself on the 2nd floor up a very narrow staircase, (223). Nice king bed. Very comfortable. Doorknob on bathroom was broken so we had a hard time getting Out of the bathroom. We were in this room 2 nights. Had a lovely galleria with table and 4 chairs accessed by going out the window. We had a commitment else where for 1 night so we checked out. When we returned for two more nights we had a ground level room off the courtyard (114) Small, smelled really odd. The shower plumbing was sticking out of the wall. The knobs only turned so far. The sink knobs turned the wrong way for off and on. At 12:37 AM a family checked in and used the stairs next to our room. It was as if someone turned a herd of elephants loose. We heard everything they said, every burp they uttered. You would think they staff would remind others that this is a hotel not a private amusement park. The Bell Hop, Othello, never looked happy. Always appeared that he was annoyed that he had to work. The female desk clerks REALLY like talking on the phone. Everytime we went by they were making someone wait. "O.K. well I have customers I have to check in so I'll call you right back. Yeah I will. I promise." Thats what we got when we checked in. Would I go back?? NO WAY. Oh, and don't ask for anything extra. That sorta twists their knickers in a knot. Try the Bienville House.

Pros: Centrally located in the French Quarter

Cons: rooms and service are random in regards to politeness and readiness.

Beware of making reservations here!!

I made reservations to stay at this hotel and two days before we were to go on the trip a member of our party contracted a highly contagious staph infection--that forced us to cancel. I called and cancelled and was told that I would not get my $300, the first night cost of the two rooms that were reserved. I was told, instead, that they would apply this toward a future stay. Well, after numerous calls I spoke to the manager/owner who told me too bad!!! I would not get ANYTHING for the money they kept. I LOST $300 and I have nothing to show for it. I explained that a member of our party got sick and I could provide a doctor's diagnosis. This manager/owner said that makes no difference. In addition, the people I spoke to were rude and cared NOTHING about customer service.

Pros: None

Cons: Rude , Kept money, Poor cust. svc
