The Riverwalk is a long shopping mall in New Orleans that is located right on the Mississippi River. This three level mall houses a lot of brand name stores and specialty shops for your shopping pleasure.
The first floor has all the common shops such as the Gap, Brookstone, and more. The second floor has more novelty stores and small business owners selling their wares. The third floor houses an enormous food court served with a little N'awlins style cooking. What makes this eating experience better is the view of the Mississippi with all the boats passing by. It's become a recreation event for all.
The customer service is very helpful. Also, for people out of state, they provide information on how to reclaim the sales tax money you spent in the city.
The Riverwalk is also the stop for a couple of riverboat dinner rides which start in the evening.
The mall isn't a far walk from the Loews Hotel and Harrah Casinos. It's also the stop for streetcars that either take you into downtown

The Riverwalk is a shopping mall with specialty shops. It has on the 2nd level fast food court and it has 1 nice restaurant in it, Messinas. Messinas is an old New Orleans restaurant. Third floor has more shops. On each tier one can step onto a long wide balcony and see the MS River and the riverboats and barges traveling up & down. It's handicapped accessible. Be sure to ask where the elevators are to get from each level because they are not visible to the naked eye.
