Only for Money My son and niece went here for 3 months. It became very apparent early on that we had made a big mistake.Their learning time is approx. 30 minutes and there is no consistency, therefore nothing stays with the child. My sister and I found that while they practice teaching independence, it was an escape route for them.My son went there knowing how to spell his first and last name/all 26 letters/count to 40/spell 9 words/and a few other things for a 3 year old and he left barely being able to count to 20. He and my niece only wanted to play. Two kids who loved to read and be read to, now had no focal point. While $525.00 is not unreasonable, they never had a freebie, each and every other activity came with a big price tag. When I informed them that the kids were leaving, Ms. Roslin, the Director only asked me did I want her to get their things. Absolutely no concern. The final straw was we dressed them in dressy clothes for pictures ans asked could they change the kids and they said yes, and yet both kids stayed in their best attire the entire day. Roslin response was, she kept them clean.

I love this school. My son is 2 1/2 and recognizes all of his letters, numbers, has developed critical thinking skills, learning to cooperate, he has structure and cleans up after playing (he also cleans up at home). I love this school and the job they have done with my son. Right now we are working on trying to read 3 letter words. It is expensive ($600/month) but he loves it there and they have kept him stimulated.

An Organized, Structured Pre-School I do not have a child that attends Children's Day Care, and I do not work for the school. I go in once a week to teach a specialty exercise class to a handful of the students there. I have visited the school every week for the past four years. As such, my vantage point on all of the schools I visit is a unique one. No one is trying to impress me or do anything out-of-the-ordinary when I visit. So, I get a "behind the scenes" look at all of the schools I visit. Having been in and out of many, many preschools in the past four years, I can honestly say that the Children's Day Care is top-quality. It is a relatively small school, and very professional for the New Orleans area. The children who stay there until the age of 4 and 5 learn to read, write, and add with ease and fluency. Ms. Roslyn is a real stickler when it comes to learning, and the children there have every opportunity to do so. Also, the class environment is organized and strucutured, and the school day proceeds according to a very consistent routine. My only reservation in giving a "5 star rating" is that the teachers are not as nurturing as I would personally like. But in regards to learning and achievement, I would give the school a 5-star score.
