Mardi Gras Parades Schedule 2011
Mardi Gras Parades 2011 will have their own spotlight this year compared to 2010 when Mardi Gras was wedged between the New Orleans Saints winning the Super Bowl and a mayoral election. Revelers at Mardi Gras Parades 2011 will be due for a break in the weather since Carnival arrives a month later than usual, and parades are far less likely to roll in freezing temperatures.
However, the late arrival of Mardi Gras 2011 brings a unique challenge: a short recovery period between Mardi Gras Day and the St. Patrick's Day Parade rolling through the French Quarter three days later. Each Carnival season offers something for everyone, from family-friendly parades with ladders and folding chairs along the routes, to adventurous tourists coming to Bourbon Street for people watching and libations.
