Paul J. Solis Elementary School Reviews

This used to be a good school. Times have changed and this school hasn't. If your child has any problems he/she will not fit in and not be accepted.

This is a great school. The principle is a wonderful and devoted lady.My daughter is very sad that this is her last year.

Solis is a well run school. It is one of the best public schools in Louisiana. The teachers really care .

Paul J. Solis is the best elementary school on the Westbank! My daughter is moving onto the 4th grade this year and she has been on the honor roll since going to Solis. All of the teachers and especially the principal are above average. I have never seen a school that caters to the students as well as the parents to achieve such acedemic excellence. Other schools should follow in the wonderful footsteps of Paul J. Solis. Ms. Dufrene is the single best principal and teacher, she treats each and every student with dignity and respect, and the students respond with great achievement! The teachers are just wonderful, and the students are so well behaved.

All my three children were in Solis Elementary School. They were all happy. Ms. Dufrene is a heart-warm, dedicated principle who gives every single student a spotlight. We are glad to have met many (veteran) teachers there who love and enjoy teaching students. PTC is well organized as well. We appreciate all the time we spent at the school, and will never forget it.

I think Solis is one of the best elementary schools in Grenta, the over all quality is wonderful.

I have had two children graduate from Solis and I am working on the 3rd who is in the 4th grade right now. The school is ever progressing and the Parent's group is outstanding. This is the greatest asset a school could ask for - parental involvement. What the parish does not provide the parent organization supplies for the school. No teacher or child is deprived of the necessary tools. Most people in the community including parents don't realize just how little is supplied by the parish. Props to all the parents at Paul J. Solis!

Both of my boys are attending Solis. Iam very pleased with this school. Iam so glad that my husband and I choose this school over a private school. They could not have recieved a better elementary education elsewhere. My oldest son will be leaving Solis next year and will be moving on to 7th grade. He will miss it, especially his gifted teacher Ms. Galloway, she is truely a sweet and wonderful teacher. All of the teachers, Principal and staff at Solis are great people, I thank God for this school.

My son also moved to Solis from a Catholic school. The Catholic elementary schools do not have programs for gifted students like the one Solis offers. The GT Program and teachers are excellent. The school is safe and well kept. Our decision to move to Solis has never been regretted. Our time at Solis has been enjoyable and I would highly recommend the school.

This is the absolute best school, and this is coming from someone who has had a child at catholic schools in the area (none can compare). Not only are the students academically advanced and constantly challenged to excel, but there is a wonderful spirit of caring that I have never seen elsewhere. This combination has made extremely competent, confident and happy students!!

My daughter used to go to Paul J. Solis. She liked it very much. The teachers were always kind and knew how to teach. This school is very safe. Parents always knew what was going on with their kids. Extracurricular activities were always going on. The principal was on his/her best.

My daughter, now in the seventh grade, and my son, who is entering first grade, have had a wonderful experience at Solis. The teachers are incredible! And Ms. Standly is such a just and kind-hearted principal. Excellent!!!
