Woodmere Elementary School Reviews

this school is the best they have the smartest teachers.

Iam a sub teacher for all of the schools in Jefferson Parish, and this school like most of the public schools in Jefferson Parish have nothing positive about them, there is not enough discipline, no parent involvement, I recommend to send your child to a private school if you want them to actually learn and not have fights as part of their curriculum. When I am done with my teaching degree I defintly will not be teaching here. School should be a safe and happy learning environment and this is not. The children try to act too much like adults with the inappropriate language and fighting.

I have a son who attened this school for the 3rd and fourth grade. This school is not my reccomendation for any parent. My son is a very good student and I'm a perticipating parent. I was so happy to send my son to another school where daily fights were not a part of the curriculum.

This school leaves a lot to be desired as far as control over its students and safety of students. Fights are a daily activity. Teachers are no open to dicipline changes that maybe better for students. Fron Pre-K on the goal is to meet the bare minimum to pass the LEAP test. Students who require extra help are shoved to the side and ignored. If a child suffers from a LD the school fights the parent tooth and nail to get that child help. If you are considering this school please do NOT send your child here. I made the mistake of moving into the school's district and my son is emotionally and academically worse off than before he transfered here.
