October is here, and that means it's finally time to carve pumpkins, put up the cobwebs and fill baskets with candy. Halloween is a holiday that's loved by both children and adults, giving everyone a chance to dress like their favorite character, pay homage to history and more.

But there are so many costumes to choose from, so how do you choose? Google Trends has powered up Halloween site Fright Geist for 2019 to reveal the top trending Halloween costumes across the country. Here are the most searched Halloween costumes in each state during the month of September 2019 to give you some inspiration.
